Ok, I was giong to be done with the Albion observations for the year, but I did have these funny little photos. I don’t know what species this is, and it is so unique it doesn’t really help anyone in understanding mushrooms. But they are pretty funny photos, so I thought people might want to see them.
I believe this was found by Hugh Smith, and he has other photos over at Bay Area Myco. Society group on Yahoo Groups.
I looked at this and said – hey I think this is Strobilurus russula. And that actually got some chuckles, what a bunch of geeks.
I chuckled too. Guess I’m a geek! But I doubt anyone’s surprised by that.
