have a gill shot, sadly.
I had just photographed these:

and thought they looked significantly different, but it may just be stature variation.

It is hard to tell from the picture, but the fungi on the left, which gives the best view, does not look to have decurrent gills. H. cantharellus characteristically has decurrent gills. ….Beautiful orange color!

I wanted them to be different from the others I saw (based only on stature I suppose) – so it’s looking more like I saw a lot of H. cantharellus today! Thank you, sir!
