Growing on the shoulder of a gravel road. Partially buried. Exposed caps started to crack.
No reaction to KOH. No discoloration when cut, except some at the base of the stipe, when trimmed.
Some minor yellowing on the cap, where handled. Largest is around 11cm, but all are immature.
Mild mushroom smell.
Stipe solid, not hollow or stuffed.
Some of the pics show an orange tinge to the mushrooms, in the bottom of the photo…that was a reflection from my orange shirt, and not on the actual mushroom. Didn’t notice it, until too late.
