The combination of greyish thallus with immersed perithecia forming low projections on the thallus, abundant white pseudocyphellae (visible on the photo at full magnification), and the dimensions of the spores (which, nevertheless, are smaller than expected) clearly indicate the species Pyrenula chlorospila. In addition, it is very similar to that in observation 202786.

Dimensions of the spores:
(23.6) 24.7 – 29.8 (32.1) × (8) 9.5 – 12.4 (13.1) µm
Q = (2) 2.1 – 3.1 (3.4) ; N = 24
Me = 26.9 × 10.9 µm ; Qe = 2.5

Microscopy: Perithecial sections;
Microscopy: Asci, spores and paraphyses.
