Observation 23974: Leccinum carpini (R. Schulz) M.M. Moser ex D.A. Reid

When: 2009-08-03

Collection location: Geneva, Switzerland [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found and id’ed by others at the SMG meeting.

There is something about the id of these is made by the rosy flush after you cut them. I tried to get this photo’ed here. After too long the rosy flush goes away, and you are left with the normal dark grey staining from cut Leccinum.
