I wouldn’t have even guessed Acarospora

Looks more like Verrucaria or something perethecioid, but I guess there’s apothecia in there somewhere? I keep striking out on the C+R brown Acarospora group, either I’m missing the C+ reaction or I’m only collecting A. veronensis and/or A. elevata and/or A. americana.

I had a feeling this was something else, but JB said it’s A.fuscata

These are pretty common, but are distinctive color-wise from “normal” A.fuscata
