No specimen available

Spotted some tiny black crusty things on a small, fallen Birch branch. Brought the branch home to rehydrate it, thinking it was Excidia. Surprise! After about 20 minutes soaking in a bucket of water these tiny Resupinatus were recognizable. Largest = 4 mm. Just learned this species 2 weeks ago from an ob. (#239938) on a larger branch in the same residential neighborhood.
