matches NAB/BRB rubellus/fraternus accounts. Pale yellow basal mycelium matches fraternus. Reddish context in stipe base matches rubellus. IF lists fraternus as now a synonym for rubellus.

what I call either Hortiboletus campestris or H. rubellus (looks like fraternus is depreciated). These types generally bruise blue on the pores and sometimes show bluing on the cut context.

Is the yellow staining seen in the last photo due to application of a chemical?
