Notes:
I saw this growing under a rotting log, near a stream.

One photo shows the unknown near chocolate slime mold for scale. The individuals are about 1/16 to 1/8" long.

Unknown is in the center bottom, dark bulb shapes. Stemonitis is the big brown slime mold.
I believe these are open sporangium of Metatrichia vesparium.

The “unknown,” appears to be Stemonitis in an earlier stage of development. Here’s a fantastic video a fellow member shared with me, this should clear things up for you. https://m.youtube.com/...
