Golden chinquapin?

First time I’ve heard of that as a host for F. hepatica. Thanks for sharing!
Have found this on oak here in Oregon, but it is infrequent. Couldn’t see the “blood” until I maxed the photo.
As far as I know, Fistulina hepatica is commonly found in coastal northern California on chinquapin, which is now Chrysolepsis chrysophylla
