Observation 25265: Pseudohydnum gelatinosum (Scop.) P. Karst.

This very small specimen was shown to me by Noah. It was with others growing from the forrest floor. Height was <5mm and the fungi appeared to belong to the jelly group. Noah did identify this specimen for me but I have not been able to find the naming in my day notes. I lifted the specimen from the substrate to show the fungi detail.

Recognized by sight: It’s being called Pseudohydnum gelatinosum in Australia and New Zealand, but I don’t like using northern hemisphere names in Aussie.
don’t know if any work has been done on Pseudohydnum to see if it’s the same as ours…

it’s in Young’s A Field Guide to the Fungi of Australia, page 66. and Fungi Down Under, page 82.

I never found it yet but I usually see picture of water blueish.
