Several of these mushrooms were seen on a well rotted log, individually and in the pictured cluster. The tan caps were about 3 inches across, were domed and had a thin, upwardly rolled edge. There were what appeared to be veil remnants around the periphery of the cap. There were many darker brown projecting scales on the cap. The underside was filled with dark tan gills, and these did not extend onto the stalk. The rather slender stalk was 2 inches long; the upper part was smooth and the lower had several projecting scales similar to those on the cap.
