Notes:
Habitat was under mountain laurel bushes next to hard wood tree. Substrate was wood debris and old leaves. Had to crawl under mountain laurel to get photos.

abrupt bulb nails this as Amanita abrupta.

unusual bulb at base for A. bisporegera

This looks a lot more like something in the A. cokeri group – with white warts on the cap and the rooting abrupt bulb. A. bisporigera has a sac-like volva, not what this photo shows.
