Observation 26357: Mixed collection

When: 2009-08-21

Collection location: Cuidad Hidalgo, Michoacan, Mexico [Click for map]

Who: Alan Rockefeller (Alan Rockefeller)

No specimen available

Our friend offered to show us the “derrumbes” he found. It turned out to be quite a mixed collection of poisonous, inactive and active species.

We sorted them out for him.

The first two pics are the whole bag full, the third pic is the poisonous/inactive species and the fourth pic has the actives on the left and toxic/inactive on the right. The actives were consisted of Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens.

Chlorophyllum molybdites is in the mix, which is pretty bad, but I also see a handful of LBMs with a Galerina-brown hue.

Kudos to Alan for sorting out that rotten mess!
