rooting deeply in woodchip pile in landscaped area. portions of FBs frozen and/or waterlogged, perhaps accounting for mutation/deformation seen at the apex of the largest individual. temperature in area has produced several freezes and thaws in past 48-72 hours. thin, cortinoid, friable PV remnants seen very high on stipe and at cap margin containing a dark purple brown deposit. caps waxy and hygrophanous. smallest FB possesses a tiny, pointed, abrupt umbo. taste and odor mild.
