Observation 265782: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

When: 2016-12-21

Collection location: Reservoir Canyon Trail, San Luis Obispo Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Stem2

No specimen available

Under Coast live oak, mostly buried in duff. Lavender-violet gills, cortina still partly intact. Blotchy tan-yellow caps and abruptly bulbous base of stem. Obviously a cortinarius but I have no idea about the species.

Note bulbous stem base.
