Notes:
Growing on a mossy ridge under Quercus sect. Lobatae near Acer nigrum, Aesculus sp., Prunus serotina and a Carya sp. sapling. Taste of cap surface sour. Pores not bruising. Context light yellowish brown and not bruising. Basal mycelium light yellow. Odor a bit like a combination of carrots and green hickory nuts. Cap surface brown with NH4OH, did not notice a blue flash but it’s possible I overlooked it.
