Observation 267149: Agaricus L.
When: 2017-01-12
Collection location: Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Paso Robles, California, USA [Click for map]
Who: Stem2
No specimen available
Notes:
Not sure about this one. Growing just a few feet away from the fairy ring of A. bitorquis. Longer stem with skirt-like annulus, smooth white cap that very slowly bruised reddish where handled. No KOH reaction. Extremely faint almond odor. It was tasty…one of three edible Agaricus species found in the same tiny one-acre rural cemetery on the same day!
