Habit: Grouped, multiple individuals inches apart, not from a common base.
Pileus 1.1-2.6cm, tough, leathery, umbillicate becoming planar to broadly depressed, surface dry, smooth, deep red-brown, darkens and spots with drying, sudden depression in surface over stipe darker in color, margin smooth to wavy, even, light gray hymenal surface, light brown context, tubes ending in pores, about 12 pores per mm.
Stipe 1.7-7.1cm x 0.1-0.2cm (at base), equal, tough, leathery, solid, medial to pileus to slightly off-center, dry, smooth, dark brown to black.
