Substrate: Fallen hardwood.

Habit: 10 to 12 fruiting bodies of varying maturity found on log.

Fruiting bodies: Widths vary between 60-80 mm, height (thickness) between 1 and 2 mm. Much thicker at base (~10-15 mm). Sessile. Upper pileus covered in dense, thick, erect dark brown hairs roughly 3 mm long. Hairs of lower individuals covered in light colored spores. Margin entire and horizontal, slightly lighter in color. Pileus color mostly dark brown with occasional chestnut brown concentric rings. Hymenial surface covered in small, dense pores. Pores mixture of round and geometric.
