smaller than atroviolaceum, luteomaculosum, etc w/ no yellow bruising, stipe becoming with dark hairs. Also compared w/myomces, etc. Size, scent, pattern fairly distinct with dark lines developing on gills. Fairly rare species on the west coast.

Does the cap appear to be more fibrillose or squamulose?

As far as the odor, I called it what I would have called it. Maybe someone would call it an odd farinaceous odor. I don’t know.
