Observation 269571: Boletaceae Chevall.

Notes:
Similar I believe to the last Bolete loaded that was a poor specimen.
{Boletaceae Chevall. (269342)}. Fungi was located in Eucalyptus rain forest covered by forest floor debris. This specimen had insect damage and most likely weather damage but I have loaded it for comment.
The cap was a dark shiny red/brown and the fungi was well established in its habitat. I did notice that when I cut the fungi it did not exhibit the yellow colouring that was displayed in MO Obs:Boletaceae Chevall. (269342).

as near as I can tell. This has a smooth, red cap. The other one was gray brown with a somewhat rugulose pileus as I recall. The pore surface looks diseased in this Obs too. It’s a bolete but I don’t have a species name.
