mixed woods. red Oak, White Oak, Black Birch, Maple, and White Pine. Pileus colored differently than T. alboater, and has a whitish pointed base. Stipe appears to be pruinose.

Wish I could agree with you but it is difficult to see any scabers present on the stipe. Photos too blurry. Hope your proposal is valid and that I may find these again. Thanks. By the way is that a name for a mushroom or a Roman patrician? :)
