Recognized by sight: Finely tomentose. Better micro would be needed to be 100% sure, but varia, repanda etc., do not have the extensive, fine clear tomentum covering the outside the way arvernensis, formerly sylvestris, does. Zoom in on the first picture to see the hairs.
