… is the North American/Asian version of the European S. grevillei. Both species are strictly associated with larch trees (Larix spp.). If this collection was not found under a larch, it must be something else. The geographic location also points away from clintonianus.
Also, as far as I can see, the stipe is annulate. This would eliminate S. granulatus.
