Coast live oak (Quercus agrifolia) woodland near the coast in northwestern Santa Barbara County.
Thallus thin, grey, continuous, K-, C-. Epihymenium brown, hymenium hyaline, hypothecium reddish brown. Exciple dark, thick. Ascus tholus K/I blue.
Hyaline, narrowly ellipsoid, 3-5(+?) septate, narrower on one end. 23.8×3.2, 20.0×3.0, 19.2×4.2, 23.5×3.9
Difficult group, and a new one for me, so I’ll need to spend some more time with this one.
