I’m not familiar with the species you mentioned, I considered Hygrocybe fuliginata but I think the stipe of that species has more of a yellow pigment to it.

It could definitely be an undescribed species, I’ll try to add some microscopy soon!

Hygrocybe irrigata sensu A.M. Young, which may be the same as the northern hemisphere irrigata but I doubt it. I can’t find any records from NZ but it does occur in NSW and Tas.
But chances are that it’s a undescribed NZ species…
