Bolete covered in hypomyces. Under Coast Live Oak near North end of pit. No smell or bruising.
Small bolete, soft but firm. Pores small, stipe not ribbed and pretty straight.

Recognized by sight: Hypomyces host, a few records on MO of x. Truncatus and dryophilus in spring​. Dryophilus seems to be the most regular in spring, but would be fairly rare this far north.
