Observation 275749: Oudemansiella Speg.

Notes:
Exciting find. Maybe Amanita, light grey cap in good condition supported by extremely long Stipe 220mm (over 8.5 inches). Small volva and well formed gills. Some insect damage to the stipe below ground level. Single specimen in Eucalyptus forest.

I also think it could be a Xerula rather than an Amanita.

Thanks for your comment, and after looking at other similar entries, it sure does look like Xerula. (and I thought wrongly it maybe an Amanita.)
