Found one single fruiting under Pine at 4400 feet. No Oaks nearby. I collected the specimen but lost it by being a dumbass. I left it on the roof of the truch while waiting for my brother.
No striate margin. Delicate. No veil remnants. No annulus detected. The volva sac was constricted.

I suggest section Phalloideae as a good possibility. Good observations regarding the nonstriate cap margin, etc. A nice diagnostic set of photos as well.
I have done the same trick with mushrooms and with a coffee cup loaned to me by Darvin Deshazer.
If you find another of these under pine at elevation, I’d like to see it or a part of it that you can spare.
