a slime mold. this is a sordariomycete with long, ostiolar necks. a post at the Ascomycetes of the World Facebook group may help, but they may require closer images and/or microscopy.

The name Stemonitis was proposed, but I don’t think this is it:

the growth pattern is different, with fruit bodies growing out of “pimples”, and the fruit bodies are hard and persist for a long time, unlike Stemonitis that shrivels and also leaves black dust behind.

the long filaments seen in the first photo seem to be bursting out of the pimples seen in the third photo, with shorter, not fully grown filaments in the photo between. The last photo shows a log on which these were found – you can see black fungus, if barely, growing in the cracks.
