Recognized by sight: White gills (and presumably spores), prominent partial and universal veil including cap ornamentation. No idea what the species is.

Do you have a picture of the dark rings of u.v. material around the top of the bulb?

Such rings seem to be present in your photos. Also, do you have older specimens that would show if the gray volva becomes darker with age?

I think David is on the right track in suggesting section Validae as the “home” for this species.
