Collected at Julio Enrique Monagas park in Guaynabo, PR. Growing on dead wood. Observed in great flushes, some growing caespitose, sharing substrate with Lentinus sajor-caju and Pleurotus djamor.

Recognized by sight: Before I was thinking all collections of this larger white Lentinus were L. scleropus based on previous microscopy ID, but L. striatulus is closely related and has a slightly smaller/more delicate aspect.

L. hirtus with other mushrooms

Martin-I believe I have photos of L. hirtus with L. sajor-caju and L. sajor-caju with P. djamor, but not all three flushing at once, although I’m sure that you could find a log with all three in the right conditions. I’ll try to look the photos up to send to you.
