Yes, it looks like the Amanitas are just starting to come up around here.
Are you going to Ha Ha Tonka? I found one related to Amanita vaginata
that Dr. Tulloss is interested in. As I recall, I found them on the trail from
Turkey Pens up to the Devil’s Kitchen. I’ll be looking for more of them
around there, but if you happen to see something that looks like them
please let me know. He’s given it a provisional name of Amanita hahatonka.
