Recognized by sight: The apparent diameter of the basidiomes suggest this is A. cornea as opposed to A. nigricans based on the description in the paper below. I would also say the hair length is not quite as hirsuite as you would expect from A. nigricans, and a mycologist I’ve talked to suggests that the pileus has a tendency to dry to a gray color in A. cornea. That said, I’ve usually throw up my hands when trying to ID A. cornea from A. nigricans and A. fuscosuccinea based on macroscopic traits, especially pileal hair length, but the size of these ones are pretty remarkable.
