Observation 277850: Amanita gemmata group

Notes:

Habitat: near trail, in moist forest, mostly Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas-fir), but with saplings of Acer (Maple) under canopy openings (e.g., trailside)
Substrate: soil
Nearest trees: close to saplings of Acer (Maple), Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas-fir) within 5m
Cap: diameter 5-6cm, somewhat viscid
Stipe: length: 6-9cm; veil remains very fragile, for both partial and universal veil
Spore measurements (mature spores deposited on slide):
