Observation 278150: Leptonia (Fr.) P. Kumm.

This was first observed in 2009 (Observation 58464). The pink deposit on the gill faces (visible at original size), plus the presence of deeply angular spores — which our portable microscope had just enough magnification to see clearly — helps firmly place the species somewhere in the Entolomataceae.

Substrate: in leaf litter

Ecoregion: Southwest Amazon Moist Forests (NT0166)

Collectors: D. Newman, P. Kaishian, D. Ettlinger & T. Padilla Albis
