I see this in Mexico

I see this, or something macroscopically very similar in Mexico very often – always in cloud forests. Microscopically it has small, round spores with tiny spines. Several collections have so far resisted my attempts at PCR, I’ll try again this winter with different primers and lower annealing temperatures.

@myxomop The name was proposed by the resident mycologist here, I have not personally been able to find much information on L. fuscum to confirm.
