Observation 279994: Amanita “daimonioctantes” (Site ID) (Amanita fulva)

Growing out of rotting wood in mixed deciduous/conifer forest (hemlock, white pine, red oak, various birch).
Cap: 3.2 cm, broadly convex with slightly raised central bump. Light brown with darker brown disk. Smooth with deeply furrowed striate edges. Gills: Creamy white, close, attached. Stipe: 7.5 cm long. 6 mm at base, tapering to 4 mm at apex. Creamy white with a loose papery white volva at the base. No annulus.
