Small grouping in soil amongst leaf litter, mixed woods comprising primarily Eastern White Pine, Oak, and Beech. Cap reddish brown to brown in mature specimen, stipe not reticulated, perhaps dotted near apex. Pores red, tubes yellow, with yellow flesh staining blue quite rapidly (too fast for the camera!). Odor slightly chemical.
