Notes:
I can not figure out what this is, despite searching many resources. I feel like it is an old puffball? I unfortunately did not have my camera on me when I found it and so took a sample to take the pictures at home. The fungi was growing on a well-rotted log and when pierced would gush out a transparent liquid. The interior wall is lined with a gelatinous substance. Anyway I tried to find pictures of old Lycoperdon pyriforme or even Lycogala epidendrum, but nothing looked that similar. Would love any input on this. Thanks.
