because I’m more and more convinced, that this species is different from C. zinziberatus. First of all the ecology is completely different, being a species of xerothermic Quercus-Sorbus torminalis forest on calcareous soil, together with Boletus satanas, Cortinarius aprinus, chevasutii, terpsichores etc., usually in autumn. C. zinziberatus is growing in spruce forests on calcareous soil, usually in (early) summer
