Observation 280753: Parmelia sulcata Taylor

Notes:
Found waist-high on a dead Holodiscus discolor branch.
Of the (3) different lichens featured in the photos, only the Parmelia appears to be being used in construction this hummingbird nest.
Until the 2 fledglings learn to fly, I will not be able to get closer shots for ID purposes.

This photo was taken after the fledglings flew away. The 3 will likely return to area separately but are not known to reuse the nests as a whole. I have since collected this nest.
