Striations along cap margin…

look long for muscaria. Basal volva is not very distinct, which was my main reason for not proposing multisquamosa at higher confidence. But the “pantheroid” basal collar is sometimes made indistinct by erosion or pressure while emerging form the ground. Cap color… I don’t see the pinkish tint; looks tan toward the center and creamy/pale toward the margin.

The uniform pinkish tan color of the cap, the disposition of the warts on it, the shape of UV and staining on the bulb and the overall “feel of stature” gave me an impression of a muscaroid type. I could be wrong, of course.

Igor, why not multisquamosa?
