Observation 2813: Clitocybe (Fr.) Staude

When: 2007-03-11

Collection location: Los Trancos Preserve, Palo Alto, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Notes:
This was about the only new species found, that came from a good fresh new fruiting. Lots of these were found in among the fallen leave, under what I have been told is black oak, but I’m not sure.

These look to be Clitocybe, but I can’t really tell which species, and there isn’t one close enough in Arora, and I don’t really have a better Clitocybe source.
