Single fb growing on old wood.
Cap 5.8 cm across.
Spores 5.8-7.0 X 4.2-5.0 microns, broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid.
Pleurocystidia abundant. Cheilocystidia ~60-70 X 12-15 microns., with relatively short horns.

The wood was quite old, as seen in the photos. It was a mixed area,although pine is likely.

The general external features and the relatively small spores are a good fit for P. petasatus, but white Plutei are always tricky.
