A group of colorful boletes found associated, but not clustered in mixed pine/spruce woods. Heavy, sturdy cap (almost inrolled?) resembles a white potato, yellows with age, smooth, almost velvety to touch.

Tight porcelain-like yellow pores, yellow and red on stem, with a whitish foot at the root. Pores blue strongly; flesh and stem when sliced blue faintly and then shortly, the blue disappears.
