These lactarius were somewhat different than others I found in the past:
These lactarius didn’t want to give any milk away, but the milk appeared to be red.
The color change to green wasn’t as pronounced as other past collections of L. deliciosus.
The cap became areolate by the end of the day.
The spore size and ornamentation checks as Lactarius deliciosus var areolatus.
