Notes:
spore print pinkish white. Gills mauve to grayish purple color. Sort of white chalkiness on the stipe. Found under coniferous trees close to a disturbed area. Edible.

I have been looking for blewits for the past two weeks and all the ones I have found have been rotten, also there have not been large numbers of them like last year. It was colder out last year during this month, I think that’s the problem.
I think it needs to cool down a bit, here in the south finding blewits in the months of December and January seems like the right time for them.
They will even fruit when it is freezing out, making them blewit popsicles :)
