Notes:
A single tiny pale yellow specimen fruiting in damp soil alongside a social path in oak-hickory woods. Cap: 2.4 cm. Stipe: 1.6 cm. X 7 mm., solid, white, off-center. Strong, unpleasant, “medicinal” odor. No reaction with KOH. Unable to obtain a spore print.

I wasn’t aware there are any Russulas that small. Good to know. What feature tipped you off to this genus, if I might ask?
